Fred Thomas is a visual artist based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has been involved in the street art scene since 1985 and has created many murals throughout the city since 1998. He has worked on projects of all sizes with schools, community centres and businesses, often in collaboration with at-risk youth.
Some projects include: stage design for the 2009 National Aboriginal Achievement Awards, set design for the 2009 film The Horsemen, live painting at the Metis Pavilion at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010, and live mural painting at the Canadian Museum of History in 2013.
He has been included in various solo and group exhibitions including “Surface,” a solo exhibition at the Graffiti Gallery in 2008, “TooSicks” at Gallery111 in 2006, and “Supernovas” at the Winnipeg Art Gallery in 2006.
